Alpenglow's Bristol Bay
Bristol is a regal dog with enough smiles to save the world. If anyone believes a dog can't smile, well, Bristol can prove them wrong in a heartbeat. We were blessed with Bristol in November of 2021, and in her two years with us has given us many a laugh and loads of joy. Currently, this baby of the family has approximately twenty nicknames and many -she would say hundreds- of admirers. Her good looks and gleaming, goofy personality make her a favorite among people. Also, she can talk-not gabbing all day long like we humans-but can talk perhaps more fluently than we can with her smile, her eyes, her nose-I know, who thought a dog could talk with their nose?-and her paws. One of her quirks and one of the best traits of her gorgeous breed is that she talks with her paws, putting them up for a hug, thrusting them in your lap when she wants attention, and using them like hands in every possible way.
She loves to hike and tries to climb every rock, especially in the snow, and is a mountain dog through and through. However, the mountains are not the only landscape that appeal to her. On several occasions, she has been to the beach and although was quite wary of the waters-"It's chasing me! Heeeeewp!"- now loves to pounce the rolling waves and splash in the salty water with us.
The love of a dog is worth
EVERY dog hair,
EVERY muddy paw print,
EVERY early morning
and EVERY dollar spent.

True, Bristol has forced us to unwillingly crawl on our hands and knees more than once (especially when she was a puppy) to clean up her messes while she smiles on innocently; true, she does leave her doggy "glitter" (aka dog hair) all about the house; but, she has given us happiness we didn't know we needed and filled a hole in our lives that we didn't know we had. We love our Berner!
