Our Mission

Berners loved by our family so they can be a lovable member of yours. 

We are a small, family-run kennel raising Bernese Mountain Dogs in New England. We desire to raise our pups with love and care so that you can cherish one of our lovable Berners as well.

Why Alpenglow?

Our family once lived in Alaska, where the phenomenon of the alpenglow occurs. The alpenglow is pretty self-explanatory: it is a fascinating illumination by the sun onto the mountains, casting warm hues of red, orange, gold, and purple, depending on the angle of the sun and atmospheric conditions. Usually, the alpenglow occurs in the morning before sunrise or in the evening after dusk. 

We were able to witness the alpenglow regularly and were in awe of the beauty spread across the mountains at the sight. In remembrance of Alaska and recognition of the fact that Berners are mountain dogs, we settled on Alpenglow.
